The Special, along with the upscale Skylark, were redesigned for the 1964 model year. The Skylark was expanded to a full top-line series while the Special was more the base model with more limited range of body styles. This particular car is a well optioned Special with amenities such as Airconditioning, optional V8 and power brakes & power steering. Produced in Fremont CA, the car stayed its entire life in California. The car is now sold by the dealer importing the car to Europe with a clean California Title & Import papers stating all import duties are paid.
The car was 6 years completely restored by a retired Buick mechanic. It’s repainted in its original and typical-Buick color Turqouise Mist. The paint presents very well and is significantly better than the average American paintjob. All chrome shines good with just a tiny dent in the rear bumper. New tires are installed on the color-matched wheels with Buick ‘dog dish’ hubcaps. The seller has additional pictures of the underside that underline the car is rust free and all panels are original. A small bubble is noted on the driver door.
The interior is completely redone during the restoration. The seats were redone in gray in partial vinyl and cloth, which matches with the turquoise accents in the interior. A new GS-styled steering wheel is installed as well, the original steering wheel comes with the car too. All gauges and warning lights work and the AC blows cold.

Mechanically everything works as it should. The original 300ci “Wildcat 310” has been rebuilt during restoration and runs as it should. The original rebuilt transmission is the standard ‘Super Turbine 300’ 2-speed automatic which shifts great. All fluids were replaced as well as spark plugs, coil, spark plug wires and distributor.
