This 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230SL is equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission and is imported from California to Spain in 2017. In August 2017, the previous owner had a new cold start valve fitted, replaced the clutch slave cylinder and performed an 18-point chassis lube. Brake work was included a system bleed and pad inspection prior to the sale. The exterior was repainted in the original Signal Red sometime in the past, and the car is equipped with matching wheel covers and a Pagoda hardtop. This W113 is now being offered with Spanish registration.
Stated by the seller, this 230SL appears to have been repainted once in Signal Red (Code 568), which is the original color as shown on the data card. The seller describes the finish as showing a light wear. Photos of the the black convertible top can be found in the gallery below.
A body-color Pagoda hardtop is included as shown above, and the 230SL badge was incorrectly relocated to the right side of the rear deck lid during the repaint. A paint bubble is apparent on the right rear wheelarch.
The interior is largely unmodified, though a Sony CD players been installed in place of the original Becker radio. A set of 230SL branded floor mats is currently fitted. The odometer shows 89k miles but the total cannot be verified.

Power comes from a 2.3L inline-six mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, and the seller reports that the engine is numbers-matching. In August 2017, the previous seller replaced the clutch slave cylinder and cold start valve. An 18-point chassis lubrication service was also performed at the same time. Before the sale, the hoses, belts, front brake pads, front suspension, and steering were inspected, and fluids were refreshed as necessary.
