This 1971 Chevrolet Nova sport coupe was produced at GM’s Willow Run, Michigan facility and was purchased by the current owner in 2016. A frame-off restoration was done by the previous owner from 2013 to 2015. During the restoration the car was painted black and was equipped with a 396ci V8 linked to a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt Positraction rear end. Features include front disc brakes, exhaust headers, glasspack mufflers, 15″ dog dish wheels, a black vinyl interior, a Hurst shifter, and a retrosound radio. This Nova is offered on dealer consignment with Belgian registration.
Finished from the factory in Cortez Silver (14), the car was repainted during prior ownership according to the selling dealer, and it is accented with chrome bumpers, side fender vents, and SS badging.
Dog dish wheels are mounted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s white-letter rubber, while the spare steel wheel wears a new BF Goodrich radial. The roof was finished in matching black vinyl during the repaint. The car is said to ride 2″ lower than stock height.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl, matching door panels and carpets, and woodgrain trim on the doors and steering wheel. Features include a Hurst shifter, a Retrosound radio, and a tilt steering wheel.
The two-spoke steering wheel with wood inserts fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer along with a fuel gauge and ventilation controls. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles, with true mileage unknown.
The 396ci V8 displays a JD-stamped block said to be sourced from a 1969 Chevelle, and it was installed during prior ownership. Additional features include chrome valve covers and a pair of exhaust headers linked to 3″ flowmaster exhaust system. An oil change was completed in June 2020 according to the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 3.08/10 bolt Positraction rear end. Additional photos in the gallery highlight the underside and mechanicals.
