This 1971 Lancia 2000 Berlina was first delivered to the southern Italian city of Salerno and remained there until acquired by the selling dealer about four months ago. Powered by a water-cooled 2.0-liter flat-four coupled with a 4-speed manual transmission, this example was used primarily as a family car by its first owner. He installed a hitch and towed a small trailer during holiday trips throughout Europe. The seller has serviced it in preparation for sale by rebuilding the original carburetor, fuel pump, brakes, and more as described below. The electrical system was sorted and tested, and the plugs, points, and condenser were replaced. This Lancia is sold with service records for the recent work, an Italian Libretto, and a certificate of ownership in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted by the previous owner in its original Grigio Tor di Valle color and has been garaged since the work was completed. The seller reports that the car has no filler and has provided photos of a paint meter test on all panels.
Beige velour interior appears to have held up well for its age, though the front passenger seat has some slight fading and the top of the left door panel has a crack in the plastic trim near the door lock knob. New rubber seals have been added to the rear doors.
The Veglia Borletti gauges are said to function properly, and the dash is free of cracks.. The odometer shows 12,700 kilometers (~7,900 miles) and is believed to have rolled over once. The period Delco General radio is not working.
This Tipo 820.210 features a 1,991cc flat-four that produced 115 hp when new. The engine, carburetor, and 4-speed ZF manual gearbox are said to be original, and the seller recently rebuilt the carburetor, fuel pump, brakes, and right CV joint. In addition, he refurbished the windshield washer, sorted and tested the electrical system, replaced the spark plugs, points, and condenser, changed the oil, added a new fuel filter, and performed an alignment.
A collection of undercarriage photos have been provided and can be seen in the image gallery below. The seller notes that there are no signs of any repairs or metalwork underneath, and that the suspension shows some superficial surface rust.
The car comes with its original toolkit, a clean Italian Libretto, and a certificate of ownership in the seller’s name. Service records are limited to the seller’s recent work done in preparation for sale.
