This 1975 Triumph TR6 is finished in Maple Brown over black and is reported to be an unrestored example. Sold new around Indianapolis, the car has stayed in the same general area for many years and now shows just over 47k miles. Power comes from a 2.5-liter inline-six mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car remained with the second owner from 1977 until his recent passing, when it was acquired by the selling dealer. Records dating back 40 years include the British Leyland Passport to Service maintenance log, as well as a hand-written service booklet from the original owner. This TR6 is now being offered with matching removable hardtop, tonneau cover, a clean Ohio title and EU import papers, proving all import duties are paid.
Per the seller, the Maple Brown (73) paint is the original finish, with minor imperfections noted. All panels are said to be original and have reportedly not required rust repair. Factory Triplex glass remains intact, and records show the car was rust-proofed at 27,341 miles.
The seller claims the soft top to be original with no obvious signs of tears or fading. Factory window stampings are present, and the body-color hardtop is pictured in the gallery below.
The black interior reportedly remains original and nicely preserved. Seat padding is beginning to age, and a tear is noted in the drivers seat bolster. All gauges, lights, and functions are in working order with exception of volt meter and horn. The dash shows no cracking, and wood veneer is said to be void of delimitation. The odometer shows 47,649 miles and is believed to be accurate.
Power comes from the factory 2.5-liter inline-six, which is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. All factory emissions equipment and smog pump are present, and original ID tags are in place.
Extensive repair records dating back to 1977 come with the car, including the original Passport to Service maintenance log and oil change records. The car was reportedly driven just 800 miles over the last nine years.
Numerous photos of the undercarriage are provided in the gallery, showing the frame, drivetrain, floors, and rockers.
The original owner’s manual, some service records, a tonneau cover, trunk mat, spare tire, and tools are included in the sale.
